Day 1
MANAGING PEOPLE ISSUES
The heart of successful business transformation
________________________________________

For most business process transformation initiatives, human resources decisions are the most challenging aspect of implementation. Yet most corporations continue to greatly underestimate the complexity and importance of planning and sequencing for people change.

At the end of this program, participants will be able to develop a comprehensive plan to deal with all aspects of HR issues.

Topics to be covered include:

  • surviving the consultation process
  • work shadowing
  • recruitment do’s and don’ts
  • exiting and off ‘boarding’
  • establishing new employment terms and conditions
  • navigating the implications of local regulation
  • project roles: the HR department and the transformation team
  • managing reductions in force
  • communicating effectively

Day 2
BUILDING, SKILLING, AND MANAGING THE TRANSFORMATION TEAM
Staffing for the long haul

____________________________________________

Implementation of successful business transformation rests on the size, composition and skill sets of the internal team. But the transformation team frequently does not possess the full range of capabilities required to implement complex outsourcing or shared services initiatives. Many corporations assume an implementation team, or indeed a small steering committee, is adequate to manage the transformation journey.

This program is designed to help managers assemble the right skills for the team, make the right locations decisions, orchestrate fixed and variable resources and secure the right functional expertise to impact both successful transition and ongoing management.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • the roles, responsibilities and tenure of team members given the scope, reach, risk and pace of change
  • when and how to leverage business line or provider staff
  • the importance of retaining corporate intelligence
  • managing resources in a simultaneous global implementation
  • the effective use of templates and tracking tools
